Under this Scheme, one-off grants are made available to local youth clubs/groups to assist with their development needs including supporting the administration, programme and services costs.
Youth clubs/groups are invited to apply for one-off funding under one of the following two categories:
a) Youth Work Club Grant b) Youth Activity Club Grant
The maximum grant available to any club is €3,000.

Revised sick leave arrangements for Teachers and Special Needs Assistants.
On 19 July 2012, the Labour Court made a recommendation in relation to sick leave arrangements in the public service. The Department wishes to inform School Management Bodies that the revised sick leave entitlements for teachers and special needs assistants will take effect from 1 September 2014 and will be incorporated into a consolidated sick leave circular which will be issued before that date.
